How to use it

  1. Enter the event title, date, start time, duration and time zone.
  2. Add a location or video link and a description, and tick Repeats for a recurring event (interval, weekdays, end).
  3. Copy the link for each calendar, download the .ics file, or paste the button into an email or web page.

How do I create an add to calendar link for Google Calendar?

Fill in the event above and copy the Google Calendar link. It opens Google Calendar's new-event screen with the title, time, time zone, location and description filled in; the guest only has to press Save.

What is an ICS file, and which link works for Apple Calendar?

An .ics file is the standard calendar format (iCalendar, RFC 5545). Apple Calendar has no web link format, so use the .ics file: it opens in Apple Calendar on macOS and iOS, and imports into Outlook desktop, Thunderbird and most other calendar apps too.

Can I make a recurring event?

Yes. Tick Repeats and choose the interval, the weekdays and when it ends. The Google Calendar link and the .ics file carry the repeat rule; Outlook's and Yahoo's links can only add the first date. The .ics file stores the start in your time zone with that zone's rules, so a weekly 9:00 AM meeting stays at 9:00 AM when the clocks change.

How do I import an .ics file into Google Calendar?

In Google Calendar on the web, open Settings, then Import & export, choose the file and the calendar to add it to. On a phone, opening the file from an email usually offers to add it directly.

Is the event data stored anywhere?

No. The links and the file are built in your browser from what you type; nothing is sent to Caly.
